Lips

We offer a lip blush service at Ink Illusions

Lip blush is a semi-permanent, cosmetic tattoo that creates a soft, blush of colour to enhance and lightly define the lips. Perfect for anyone who has lost their natural colour due to fillers/aging.  It is also great for anyone lacking lip symmetry, or has naturally pale lips.

The colour is bright at first but this fades up to 70% during healing, leaving you with a perfectly, tinted pout. Just add gloss or balm and go!

Total time 3-3.5 hours (approx)

Please note that this treatment is a 2-step process, requiring x2 visits to complete the treatment.  Ink retention will vary between clients. Price includes retouch 4/6 weeks later.

Brows

We offer a powder / ombre brow service at Ink Illusions.

Powder brows is a semi permanent cosmetic tattoo, suitable for all skin types, skin tones and ages. Perfect for sparse, over-plucked or barely -there brows, or anyone that just wants to add more definition and shape to their brows.

The procedure is accomplished by using a machine that finely implants the pigment into the skin, creating a soft and powdery colour throughout the brows. This adds structure to the face, and lifts and opens up the eye area, giving a more youthful and fresh appearance.

Total time 2.5 hours (approx)

This is a 2-step treatment.  Price includes retouch 4/6 weeks later – 1 hour appointment

Please note we do not currently offer eyeliner PMU or microblading at Ink Illusion.

Pricing

Please note that if you request a top up after 6 weeks, there may be an additional fee.  After 3 months the original price will apply, so please plan your appointments carefully so you don’t miss the deadline for the top-up.

Aftercare for Permanent Makeup: A Day-by-Day Guide

Permanent makeup (PMU) is a wonderful way to enhance your natural beauty, but proper aftercare is essential to ensure the best results. The healing process is critical to achieving vibrant, long-lasting effects. Here’s a day-by-day guide to help you navigate the aftercare process, ensuring your new look heals beautifully.

Day 1: The Day of Your Procedure

What to Expect: Right after your PMU procedure, the treated area may appear darker and more intense than you expected. This is normal and part of the healing process.

Aftercare Instructions:

Gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb any lymph fluid that may surface.

Avoid touching the treated area with your hands to prevent introducing bacteria.

Start applying the recommended aftercare ointment as directed by your artist.

Day 2-14: Critical Healing Period

What to Expect: The treated area may start to flake or scab as it heals. The color might also appear uneven, which is completely normal.  It may even look like all the ink has gone – this is not the case and you need to wait for the protective layer of skin to renew to reveal the colour underneath. You may experience some itching as the skin regenerates, but resist the urge to scratch.

Aftercare Instructions:

Avoid Water Exposure: Do not allow water to directly touch the treated area, so avoid swimming, long showers, baths, or any activities that cause excessive sweating. Use a damp cotton pad to clean around the area instead.

No Makeup or Skincare Products: Avoid applying makeup or skincare products to the treated area for at least 14 days. These products can irritate the healing skin and potentially cause infection.

No Sun Exposure: Protect the area from direct sunlight by wearing a hat or using a physical barrier. Sun exposure can cause the pigments to fade prematurely.

No Picking or Scratching: Allow the scabs to fall off naturally. Picking can lead to pigment loss and scarring

Continue Applying Aftercare Ointment: Follow your artist’s instructions on how often to apply the ointment to keep the area moisturized and protected.

Day 14 onwards: Final Stages of Healing

What to Expect: By this stage, most of the scabbing should have fallen off, and the area may appear lighter or softer in color as it continues to heal internally. The true colour of your permanent makeup will start to emerge, but it may 4-6 weeks to see the final result.

Aftercare Instructions:

Gradually Resume Normal Activities: You can start to reintroduce makeup and skincare products to the treated area, but proceed with caution. Use gentle, non-irritating products.

Sun Protection: Continue to protect your PMU from the sun. Use a high-SPF sunscreen to prevent fading (indefinitely).

Monitor Healing: Keep an eye on the treated area. If you notice any issues, such as uneven color or prolonged irritation, consult your PMU artist.

Prepare for Touch-Up: Schedule your follow-up appointment if needed. A touch-up may be required to perfect the results after the initial healing process
