What is Scalp Micropigmentation?
Scalp Micropimentation is the illusion of tattooing tiny hair folicles on the scalp to give the impression of a shaved head, or more hair density within existing hair. It is the most effective way of bring your hair line back – and it is affordable!
This treatment is suitable for both men and women, whether you have complete hair loss, or perhaps just have thinning areas that you want to fill in to make less obvious.
Scalp Micopigmentation has actually been around quite a long time, but it is only in the 5 years or so that it has become a more mainstream and well-known treatment, being picked up by those already offering permanent makeup services.

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP for short) is similar to traditional tattooing using permanent ink, but it is diluted depending on the required finish / colour, and is gently tapped in to the scalp. The depth of ink insertion has to be the same however, being tattooed just under the top layer of the skin, so the ink is retained. However, the technician needs to be careful not to go too deep or it won’t look natural.
